Motorcycle Museums

We went to the Barber Museum just outside Burmingham, AL in 2006. What an amazing place. There are hundreds of motorcycles displayed on five floors.

Here we are at the museum, standing beside a German NSU. The museum spans several floors with a central open area allowing you to see several floors to overwhelm any motorcycle enthusiast. You can walk up the ramp that spirals around the central area, or take the elevator up. Along each of the four corners of the elevator are shelves housing full sized motorcycles.
The 1927 Bohmerland A motorcycle tree. There are several of these throughout the museum, each with their own brand of bikes mounted three rows tall. This is a tree of Yamahas. Another shot of those motorcycle shelves. They run from bottom to top of the museum, on each corner of the elevators.
Just like the BMW R100RS I once owned. Its the 1978 motosport. One of the very first Hondas, the Honda Cub Along one wall there were motorcycles stack like toys. Full sized motorcycles mounted on the walls.
Here is another one of those motorcycle trees A collection of Harley Davidson beers like the ones we collected from Sturgis. 1943 BMW Military Desert Version with sidecar
1943 BMW Military Desert Version with sidecar The Mustang. Its one of my favorites at the museum. The bike folds up into a suitcase.
Harley Davidson 185 The Honda Dream. This bicycle is mounted above the entrance to the gift shop.
